18,000 new teachers to be recruited in Haryana

The issue of the acute shortage of teachers in Haryana continues to remain in discussion. The opposition is taking on the ruling faction, stating that the shortage of teachers is a matter of serious concern as it has affected the education of students on a large scale. Amid the ongoing contention, it has come to light that, in a bid to deal with the issue, the state government has decided to recruit the 18,000 teachers in the schools. Out of which, 11 thousand regular teachers will be recruited and another 7 thousand teachers will be recruited through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam.
Divulging the aforesaid information pertaining to the fresh recruitment of teachers, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the Haryana government is continuously working to ensure quality school education in the state. He further said that the government is working to connect with retired teachers, retired government employees, and other interested people for this service in a bid to curb the problem of shortage of teachers. It is worth noting that 5 lakh tablets have already been distributed to students in grade 10th, 11th, and 12th, with another 2.5 lakh tablets on the way.
Haryana is the first state in the country to take this initiative. People, not only from other states but also from abroad, are commending this initiative and are moving forward to draft such schemes and implement them.
Apart from the above mentioned, the government has worked to convert 4,000 anganwadis into play-way schools so that children can get an education through recreational activities.
