A fresh landslide struck the Karool area of Ramban on Monday afternoon, claiming the life of a 13-year-old boy in a tragic turn of events.
According to officials, the landslide proved fatal for the young victim, identified as Yaqoob Mir, son of Gh Hassan Mir, a resident of Karool Ramban. Despite ongoing efforts, the boy’s body remains unrecovered amidst the debris.
The incident also resulted in damage to two houses in the vicinity, compounding the impact of the natural disaster.
It’s worth noting that Ramban district has been grappling with significant challenges, including land sinking issues that have already damaged over 30 houses. Presently, around 50 houses in the area remain perilously close to danger.
