12-year-old Goa girl sets global record by climbing three peaks above 6000 m in 62.5 hours

Gunjan Pankaj Prabhu Narvekar, a 12-year-old mountaineer from Goa, broke the previous record by ascending three peaks over 6000 meters in the Markha Valley of the Ladakh region in just 62.5 hours. Gunjan is aiming for Mt. Everest now that he has accomplished this admirable feat.

12-year-old Gunjan Pankaj Prabhu Narvekar, a class 8 student at Jnyan Vikas School in Goa, has successfully summited three peaks in the Markha Valley in the Ladakh region, including Mt. Kang Yatse-II (6250 m), Mt. Reponi Mallari-I (6097 m), and Mt. Reponi Mallari-II (6113 m). In 49 hours (1st to 3rd Summit) and 62.5 hours (basecamp to basecamp), she ascended the three peaks above 6,000 meters, breaking previous records.
