12 killed after SUV rams into stationary truck in Chikkaballapur

Early on Thursday morning in Chikkaballapur, near Bengaluru, Karnataka, an SUV struck a parked truck, killing twelve people—three of them women—according to police. On National Highway 44, close to a traffic police station, an accident occurred. The mishap may have been caused by foggy weather, according to the police. “At around seven in the morning, a truck and a Tata Sumo from Andhra Pradesh collided,” Chikkaballapur Superintendent of Police DL Nagesh stated. According to the Superintendent of Police, the deceased was from Kothacheruvu, who lived in the Gorantla area of the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
