1000 CCTV cameras installed in Noida under Safe City Project

Noida Police will now closely watch the people who do not follow the traffic rules on the roads of Noida. In Noida city, 1,000 CCTV cameras have been installed under the Safe City Project, which started on 5 July.

At the same time, these cameras have captured 28,000 vehicles breaking traffic rules in a week-long trial run. This data has been sent to the Noida Police, after which the vehicle owners will soon get orders to pay the fine.

Moreover, SP Singh, DGM of Traffic Cell in Noida Authority, said that installing cameras in the city has been going on for about ten months. The installation of cameras at 76 locations had been completed by the beginning of July.

According to SP Singh, the challan data of the vehicles which CCTV has captured has been prepared by the Sector-94 control room of ITMS. Now, this data will be given to the traffic police for challaning.

After this, the police will investigate from their level how many vehicles can be challaned. After this, challan messages will be sent on the mobile phones to the owners of the vehicles concerned.

Moreover, the CCTVs have been installed all over the city in Sector-38 near Shashi Chowk, Sector-32 City Centre, all metro stations, Sector-37 Bus Stop, at Mahamaya Flyover Mod, Kalindi Kunj Border, Film City Gate, Sector-29 Ganga Shopping.
