1 dead, 2 injured as trio tries to disembark running train

THANE : One fatality and two injuries resulted from an ill-fated attempt to disembark from a moving train at Kalyan station, near Mumbai. The incident involved passengers from the Deccan Queen train, en route from Pune to Mumbai, occurring around 9:30 am. The three individuals, including two brothers, leaped onto platform number 7 but lost their balance and fell, as reported by Senior Inspector Mukesh Dhage of Kalyan GRP. All three were promptly transported to Bai Rukminibai Hospital in Kalyan, where Farid Ansari succumbed to his injuries. Notably, the train does not make a stop at Kalyan station, according to Dr. Shivraj Manspure, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway.
