HARYANA KHADI BOARD TO OPEN STORES IN FARIDABAD, GURUGRAM

Haryana Khadi Gramodyog Board continues to put its best to promote the Khadi clothes and its other products in the state and to some extent, it succeeded in doing so. It is pertinent to mention that the Khadi Board had launched its first exclusive store with a wide variety of the products in Panchkula at state headquarter a long time ago which continues to woo the customers. In this continuation, the board has come up with a plan to open two new stores in Faridabad and Gurugram districts falling in the National Capital Region (NCR). It came to surface that the officials of the Khadi board were mulling over a strategy to open the stores in both Gurugram and Faridabad for a long time but due to some obstacles, the planning could not reach any destination. It is learnt that the launching of the stores in these metropolitan cities has been postponed in this month twice but it is believed that the Khadi stores are most likely to come into existence till the end of the month.

In this continuation, it is worth stating that the nearly 450 products are being supplied by about two dozen of the firms to store being run in Panchkula. Although, a string of the products are common in nature which are being made available by all firms. Thus, if we exclude the above products of the same category, there are about more than 200 products of different varieties in Khadi stores and the list includes clothes, beauty products, eatables, pickles, honey, herbs, woolens and many more. According to the information made available , the clothes are a blend of traditional and modern style which continue to attract the old as well as the young generation.

Rakesh Kumar, incharge of the Khadi store located in Panchkula said, “We are leaving no stone unturned to promote the Khadi products in the state and like Panchkula, two new stores will be opened very soon in Faridabad and Panchkula. The required arrangements have been made and besides, the people across the state are being informed about the products continuously.”

The Khadi Board is likely to open new stores in the main market and bazaars of the other districts.
