Border Security Force foiled an infiltration bid near the Indo-Bangladesh border and arrested five people, including Lutfar Rehman, one of the most wanted criminals of Bangladesh.
For a long time, Rehman used to travel to and from Bangladesh through Nakuadah village near the Indo-Bangladesh border. According to BSF, Rehman would create fake identity documents and would roam around while carrying out criminal activities activities including murder, snatching and dacoity in different parts of Bangladesh.
According to the intel received by the BSF, Rahman has been identified as the most wanted in the police records of many districts of Bangladesh. Further, one woman and one transgender have been arrested from Ghojadanga border of Basirhat police station, and two male Bangladeshis have been arrested from Swaroopnagar police station located on the Indo-Bangladesh Hakimpur border. A total of five people, including the notorious scoundrel Lutfar Rehman, have been handed over to the police of Basirhat police station and Swaroopnagar police station respectively.
Incidentally, on the 17th of this month, a smuggler was caught on the border by BSF with 5 lakh rupees. The smuggler tried to smuggle silver in the wheels of the motorbike in a fancy way.
