AAP HOLDS ELECTION RALLY IN GUJARAT’S BHARUCH

Ahead of the upcoming Gujarat assembly election, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal conducted a rally in Bharuch, claiming that the state wants development. He claimed that the Delhi model of governance worked well in Punjab. Addressing the rally, he encouraged Gujarat residents to give the AAP a chance to control the state.

Taking a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the AAP party convener Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the schools in Gujarat have deteriorated. Around 6000 government schools are closed. Many schools are in dilapidated conditions, and the future of children is at stake. He also spoke of several paper leaks that took place in Gujarat during the administration of the BJP.

After a massive roadshow in Ahmedabad in April, along with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the BJP may postpone the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat due to the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) concern. During his speech, he threw a challenge at Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to hold an exam without a paper leak. He praised the Delhi model of schools and claimed that students from all sections of society study in government schools. The passing percentage of the students studying in government schools is 99.7%.

After winning Punjab, the AAP is constantly making efforts to mark its presence in the tribal state of Gujarat. According to the sources, in the 2017 election, Congress won 15 out of 27 seats in the tribal-dominated areas. The AAP has claimed that an internal survey has revealed that the party may win about 58 seats in Gujarat in the upcoming election.

In today’s speech, he said, “Gujarat is home to more than 10 million tribals. Both the richest people and the most underprivileged people come from the same state. Both the BJP and Congress stand by the rich people, making them richer, but I stand by the underprivileged class.”

The BJP won 99 seats in the 182-member Assembly in the 2017 elections, while the Congress won 77.
