Indian Airforce veteran’s murderer arrested after a long trial

The case of cold-blooded murder of an Indian Airforce veteran was cracked by Delhi police and the perpetrators were arrested on Tuesday after a long trial.

The murder of Krishan Pal Sehrawat, an Indian Airforce veteran who was also the owner of a hotel in the Mahipalpur, was reported at PS Vasant Kunj North. The incident caused a deep sensation among the residents as the deceased was shot dead in the densely populated area of Mahipalpur in front of his hotel and the residence of his brother.

“This was a challenge for the police to apprehend the accused quickly to restore the confidence of the residents. Two teams under the supervision of Sh. Abhinendra Jain, ACP, Operation, South-West District and Sh. Ajay Vedwal, ACP/Vasant Kunj, were constituted. The team worked for day and night and arrested half a dozen persons, till 10.11.2021,” a press release read.

Police Investigation revealed that Roshan Lal was operating the hotel owned by Sehrawat on a lease basis. A dispute cropped up between them and Roshan Lal was ousted by the deceased. “The Roshan Lal in order to take revenge hired his henchman Bhullu aka Gholu Patel, aka Kala and his associates. While the other accused were arrested, the sharpshooter Bhullu, a dreaded criminal of Siwan, Bihar, was still roaming around. The team consisting of Ajay Vedwal, ACP/Vasant Kunj, Inspr. Vipin Kumar, Inspr. Surya Parkash and SI Rajeshwar, SI Vivek, HC Virender, HC Digvijay, Ct Mahesh, Ct Lalit under the supervision of DCP/SW, gathered information about the absconding accused including his Instagram and Facebook profile,” the police statement read.

Police found out that the accused was not using his mobile phone sim as usual but would contact his associates with the help of available social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook messenger, and WhatsApp available at the time of the call and used video calls on these apps. Accused Bhullu Prasad, aka Golu Patel, has studied up to 9th class yet is very tech-Savvy and was using his smartphone in a very limited and cautious manner. “After the murder, he was tracked to Ranikheda Delhi, then Faridabad Haryana, Siwan Bihar, Sitapur UP, but he was continuously shifting his position from one place to another to avoid arrest. Finally, he was traced and cornered in Cyberabad, Hyderbad, Telegana on 15/12/2021,” read the statement.

Bhullu Singh is involved in six pertaining to murder, attempt to murder, arms act, and extortion.
