The Democrat Opposition party, looking likely to control the US Congress after soon coming mid-term elections, told US president Donald Trump essentially not to invade/attack Iran. That also included not invading Greenland part of a NATO alliance country, Denmark, which he so far has not but still implicitly talks of though seems likely much more intent to invade Cuba. His so-called NATO alliance partners told him not to do so, with Iran and of, course Greenland too including Britain, Italy and Spain which did not even allow their NATO bases to be used for US aircraft bombing Iran extensively, bombings which ended up even killing school children. His alliance partners, overall along with the UN Secretariat accused Trump and his administration of too often breaking international law. That is, if you will moving towards being a “serial murderer”, of an international law and order that emphasized more multilateralism and sovereignty of states before Trump got hold of becoming president, especially in his second term. The risks of cracking up a world, already fragile eignty have though been well-emphasized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government but some argue without critically calling out the US president publicly and more directly even at the UN, for grossly breaching international law and consistently undermining Indian interests. the Russians and many others are accusing of Trump stoking. Sorry to say in the end a free trade deal, with the US, the enhancement of the Quad or avoiding more tariffs from the US president is not worth supplication to acceptance by growing perceived silence to a US foreign policy that is way too reckless and dangerous.

Enough are enormous with this US president “on the loose” looking to extend his bombings at least one civilizations to death as he threatened and with Cuba next in his cross hairs. But he does not seem to know or care that many top experts on the military like Professor Michael Clarke, expert for Sky New have underscored that wars cannot be largely won by aerial campaigns alone. This should also be emphasized by India as well and the massive uneccessary collateral damage to women, elderly and children, most vulnerable to such destruction. Speaking up on this cannot be underestimated by Delhi, in fact the entire world – even consequential to BJP fortunes? India, therefore must not seem to be too much quietly in the (Trump) corner on standing up for this mayhem, especially after the massive attacks on Iran and the imbroglio it has caused in the Strait of Hormuz for India and the overall Globe, suffering enough Instead, multilaeralism and multipolarity and protection of national soverto global survival meaning India’s, as well.

But India’s Congress party has with the growing risk evermore of making the current administration look like a patsy eventually, even not even in line to calling out Trump’s generally long march with his massive military he commands on the road to adding oil to the fire of making a world mad and greater possibility of World War III. That is as What are US allies indeed saying.

Mark Carney, Canadian PM finally admitted the US is a hegemon, albeit well after Indian prime minister Modi had essentiallyn stated this for yeara and why he backs multipolarity. But Carney, even though he represents a country with the largest trading relationship of any country with the US has been bold in standing up with his Carney Doctrine of leading the charge against Trump’s doctrine? “In Davos at the World Economic Forum, Carney condemned coercion by great powers on smaller countries without mentioning Trump’s name.”(AI Google)

In Europe, the Italian prime minister not only has refused Italian NATO bases being used for bombing runs on delivering bombs. Responding to Trump saying she is upset because he didnot permit her to be in a picture with him at the G7 summit recently, according to BBC, “Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has repremanded US President Donald Trump, accusing him of making up a false story about her.” Meloni strongly refuted his claim, saying she was shocked by his comments, which were “completely unfounded”. “Neither I, nor Italy, ever beg”, she added.

From Germany Chancellor Merz stated according to the Times of India he would not send his children to the US. DW news explained it is because he saw the social climate as being negative Further from the Times, “Merz last month said the US was being humiliated in the Iran war, angering Trump. Days later, Washington announced a partial troop withdrawal from Germany.”

From France taken by Al-Jazerra news as reported through AI, “French President Emmanuel Macron has consistently opposed US military intervention in Iran”. He has opposed US strikes and bombings as inconsistent to international law, saying that bombing a nation for regime change unleashes a “Pandora’s box”. He uses “the failed long-term interventions in Iraq and Libya” as strong examples.

However as reckless as Trump seems he has been more likely to US strategic interests for the period of presidency in certain ways. First on Venzuela, it was not given to regime change but asserting pressure on its government by a successful mission to extract a president Maduro who had limited legitimacy. As a result the US was able to access the massive oil, under the agreement with the new president but current regime. This oil is offsetting to a degree the oil that has been lost from the choking of the Strait of Hormuz. Besides under Trump administrations, the US has been extracting much more oil from his continental shores and letting more Russian oil on the market. This has helped India with potentially more Russian and Venezuelan oil offsetting the problems in the Gulf. Besides, it is Europe thst Trump is less friendly that risks the most including China from the closer of the Strait..

However for long term peace, the US must conduct its foreign policy more responsibly as its European partners overall are suggesting. Mr Modi may likely find it more opportune to push more publicly such talk. This would likely be better for global security and even existential to India of no increasing risk of a World War III radiating to the country’s doors and inside, even.
