Amid the VIP the artist behind the art – Ram Lalla’s idol was also present. A talented sculptor from Mysuru- Arun Yogiraj. He painstakingly crafted an idol depicting a five-year-old Lord Ram standing on a lotus. This means that the Ram Mandir complex is built in the traditional Nagara architectural style.

However, amid this, some poke questions over the absence of Maa Sita, Laxman, and Hanuman, as they are a vital part of the epic Ramayana. The ‘Jai Shree Ram’ chant evokes unity, peace, and discipline emphasizing even more how significant Sita’s presence is being missed by the devotees.

Why Sita’s Idol Remain Missing?

In a press conference Sharda Nandan Giri of Juna Akhara in Maharashtra did drop a hint at a possible development stating, “The installation of the idol of Ram Lalla is underway in the sanctum sanctorum of the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi temple. Notably, the temple is planned to feature an idol of Lord Ram alongside Sita.”

Believing the media sources, there stands a plan to install an idol of Lord Ram on the bottom level of the temple. And further the Ram’s brothers, Hanuman and Sita on the first floor of the opulent building. It is believed that the installing of the additional idol might take few more months.

However, as per Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, the Ram idol  known as ‘Ram Lalla’, is the idol depicting in the form of 5- year- old child. Hence, due to the depiction of Lord Ram in his young age, there won’t be a provision for placing the idol of Maa Sita in the sanctum sanctorum.
