PTI Accuses Government of Excessive Force
PTI accused the government of using excessive force to suppress the protest. The party posted on X, stating, “Around 20 people have been directly shot by the current fascist government, which is using brute force to prevent citizens from reaching Islamabad for a peaceful protest against the regime.”
Moreover, PTI claimed the government deployed expired tear gas, rubber bullets, and stun grenades. The party argued, “They have resorted to every tactic imaginable to suppress dissent because this military-backed regime is clinging to a stolen mandate.”
Protesters Demand Political Change
Thousands of Pakistanis participated in peaceful marches across Islamabad. They called for the revocation of the 26th Amendment, the restoration of Pakistan’s constitution, and the return of the “stolen mandate.” Protesters also demanded the release of political prisoners.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Gohar Khan and Saif held a 90-minute meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala Jail. Afterward, Gohar Khan confirmed that Imran Khan’s call for the protest stood firm. He dismissed rumors about the protest being canceled.
The meeting focused on the ongoing political situation and the party’s future course of action.
