Watch: Kamala Harris Responds To Rally-Goer Yelling “Trump Is Going To Jail

During a Labor Day rally in Pittsburgh on Monday, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris made it clear that her focus is on winning the 2024 presidential election. The event, which saw Harris speaking alongside President Joe Biden, was momentarily interrupted when a rally-goer yelled out, “Trump is going to jail!” in response to her criticism of the former president.

Handling the Interruption

Harris, who seemed amused by the outburst, quickly regained control of the moment. She responded with a confident, “Let the courts handle that,” before shifting the focus back to the upcoming election. “We will handle November. How about that?” she added, which was met with cheers and applause from the audience.

Criticism of Trump’s Policies

As she continued her speech, Harris emphasized the importance of remembering Trump’s past actions as president, particularly those that she argued were detrimental to workers. “Donald Trump blocked overtime benefits for millions of workers and opposed efforts to raise the minimum wage,” Harris reminded the crowd. She also criticized Trump’s appointment of “union busters” to the National Labor Relations Board and his support for right-to-work laws.

Harris warned that a Trump re-election could result in further tax cuts for billionaires and large corporations, urging the audience to stand firm in their resolve not to return to those policies. The crowd responded enthusiastically, chanting along with Harris, “We’re not going back!”
