Trump Intensifies Personal Attacks On Harris, Calls Her “Mentally Impaired”

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has ramped up his personal attacks on his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, during a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania. He reiterated an offensive remark, labeling her as “mentally impaired” and claimed she should be “impeached and prosecuted” for her actions regarding the US-Mexico border.

In front of a cheering crowd, Trump accused Harris of being responsible for what he termed an “invasion” at the border and asserted, “Crooked Joe Biden became mentally impaired… but lying Kamala Harris, honestly, I believe she was born that way. There’s something wrong with Kamala. And I just don’t know what it is, but there is definitely something missing. And you know what, everybody knows it.”

With the election less than a month away, Trump is increasing his use of personal insults, despite some Republicans suggesting he should focus more on voter concerns. He has long threatened legal action against political opponents, including President Biden and Hillary Clinton.

Trump himself faces numerous legal challenges, having been convicted in May for falsifying business records in a hush money case, with sentencing scheduled for November 26. He also faces a federal case related to the January 6 insurrection and a state case in Georgia for attempting to overturn his 2020 election loss. Prosecutors are appealing a federal judge’s dismissal of a separate case concerning classified documents.

During the rally, Trump acknowledged the possibility of losing the election, stating, “If she wins, it’s not going to be so pleasant for me, but I don’t care.”

Trump has previously called Harris “stupid,” “weak,” and “lazy,” drawing criticism from some in his party. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham suggested that Trump should focus on the policies Harris supports, which he described as “crazy liberal.” Tom Emmer, a Republican official, also emphasized the need to concentrate on issues rather than personal attacks.

Harris has not directly responded to Trump’s recent comments but has previously dismissed similar remarks as the “same old show” lacking a plan to address American needs.
