Former President Donald Trump has raised alarms over “big threats” to his life, following a US intelligence briefing that allegedly revealed assassination plots by Iran. Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that the US military is on high alert, saying, “Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again.”

Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, confirmed the briefing by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), revealing that threats to assassinate Trump have “heightened in the past few months” as part of efforts to destabilize the US law enforcement agencies are actively working to ensure Trump’s safety and prevent any interference with the upcoming presidential election.

Iran has previously denied such claims, and the country’s UN mission in New York did not respond to requests for comment. While it remains unclear if the threats are new or a continuation of past concerns, the ODNI acknowledged the briefing but did not provide specific details.

Trump’s claims come after he accused Iran of hacking his campaign last month and following reports of assassination attempts, including a shooting at a Pennsylvania rally in July. Federal authorities are investigating these incidents, but no direct Iranian involvement has been confirmed. Iran has repeatedly rejected accusations related to any plots against Trump.
