A recent poll reveals that former President Donald Trump holds a higher favorability rating among likely voters than pop superstar Taylor Swift. The poll, conducted by The New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College, surveyed 2,436 likely voters across the nation.
The poll shows that 47% of voters view Trump favorably, compared to 44% who have a favorable opinion of Swift. However, Trump also has a higher unfavorable rating, with 51% of voters expressing disapproval compared to 34% for Swift.
Vice President Kamala Harris also featured in the poll, with 48% of voters viewing her favorably, narrowly surpassing her 49% unfavorable rating.
Swift’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for the 2024 election appears to have polarized voters. The poll found that 70% of Democrats hold a favorable view of Swift, while only 23% of Republicans share the same opinion. A notable 60% of Republicans have an unfavorable view of the singer.
Swift’s favorability is strongly influenced by party affiliation. While Democrats largely support her, Republicans remain skeptical. In contrast, Trump’s favorability remains relatively high, with strong backing from his party.
