The Real Reason Behind King Charles Cancer Treatment Pause Revealed

King Charles is set to take a temporary break from his cancer treatment as he embarks on a major royal visit to Australia and Samoa, his first trip to a Commonwealth Realm as monarch. The 75-year-old king, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, received approval from his doctors to pause his treatment for 11 days.

The royal tour, beginning on October 18, will see King Charles and Queen Camilla visiting Sydney and Canberra before attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa. With a demanding schedule of up to 10 engagements per day and only one rest day, the king will be accompanied by a medical team to ensure his well-being during the trip.

King Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer following prostate surgery in February and has been undergoing weekly treatment since. Buckingham Palace has remained tight-lipped about further details regarding his condition. Despite the ongoing treatment, the king has gradually returned to his royal duties in the UK.

Additionally, King Charles has adjusted his daily routine at the advice of his doctors, including introducing lunch into his diet, a meal he had previously avoided. Now, with encouragement from Queen Camilla, he includes small snacks, such as half an avocado, to maintain energy while managing his illness.

While King Charles attends to his royal obligations, his son, Prince Harry, is conducting his own diplomatic efforts, traveling between New York and Lesotho. Focusing on charitable causes dear to both him and his late mother, Princess Diana, Prince Harry is doing so without the presence of his wife, Meghan, who is engaged with her business in California.
