PM Modi Calls Indian Diaspora "Rashtradoot" In New York
During his address to the Indian diaspora at Nassau Coliseum in New York, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the significance of the Indian community abroad, calling them “Rashtradoot”, or India’s brand ambassadors. He expressed his deep understanding of their potential, stating that he valued their contributions long before holding any official position.
PM Modi highlighted India’s enormous diversity, mentioning the multitude of languages, faiths, and religions that exist harmoniously within the country. He praised the Indian diaspora for their adaptability and success abroad while remaining united in their cultural values.
PM Modi’s address in New York came after participating in the Quad Summit, where he held bilateral meetings with US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The Quad continues to play a crucial role in promoting peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
The Prime Minister’s visit also focused on deepening the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, with new pathways discussed during meetings with President Biden. Additionally, PM Modi is set to interact with key American business leaders and address the UN General Assembly Summit of the Future.
