40 Years and Counting: India-Brunei Ties Get a Strategic Direction

This year marks the 40th anniversary of political relations between India and Brunei. Modi noted that the two nations have decided to focus on mutual cooperation in various areas, including agriculture, industry, pharma, health, technology, and cyber security.

Energy, Space, and Defence: Modi and Sultan Discuss Long-Term Cooperation

The two leaders discussed possibilities of long-term cooperation in LNG, as well as strengthening cooperation in the space sector, including satellite development, remote sensing, and training. They also agreed to enhance cooperation in the defence sector, including defence industry training and capacity building.

Direct Flights and More: Modi’s Brunei Visit Sees Several Key Announcements

Modi announced that direct flights between India and Brunei will start soon, boosting connectivity between the two nations. He also praised the contribution of the Indian community in Brunei and inaugurated the new Chancery of the High Commission of India in Bandar Seri Begawan.
