Gunshots Fired at Kamala Harris’ Campaign Office in Arizona

Multiple gunshots were fired at a Democratic campaign office for Vice President Kamala Harris in Tempe, Arizona, according to the police. The gunfire occurred sometime after midnight on Monday, damaging the office located near Southern Avenue and Priest Drive. Fortunately, no one was inside the building during the attack, but the incident has raised concerns about the safety of staff members and the surrounding community.

Public Information Officer Ryan Cook confirmed, “No one was inside the office during the overnight hours, but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work in that building, as well as those nearby.”

Ongoing Investigation

The Tempe Police Department is treating the case as a possible property crime. Footage from local news showed bullet holes in the office’s windows and doors. Investigators are currently reviewing evidence collected from the scene, and security measures have been tightened to protect staff members. Shockingly, this is the second attack on the office within two weeks.

Earlier, on September 16, the office’s front windows were damaged by what appeared to be a BB or pellet gun. No arrests have been made in connection to either incident, and authorities are exploring all possible leads.

Response from Party Officials

Arizona Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign Manager Sean McEnerney expressed gratitude to local law enforcement, stating, “We are grateful to Tempe Police for coming quickly to the scene and are fortunate no one was present or injured.”

Kamala Harris’ Upcoming Visit

The shootings come just days before Vice President Kamala Harris is set to visit Arizona, a critical battleground state in the upcoming November 5 presidential election. Reports indicate Harris will campaign across the state and visit the US-Mexico border to counter Republican candidate Donald Trump’s stance on immigration.

Attempted Attack on Donald Trump

In an unrelated incident, a second assassination attempt was recently made on former President Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course on September 15. The gunman, Ryan Routh, was discovered by a Secret Service agent before he could fire a shot. Routh fled the scene but was arrested within 40 minutes.
