Newly released audio from a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recorder caught the creepy noises of the Titan submersible’s implosion in 2023. The Department of Defense said the event was recorded by a passive acoustic recorder anchored almost 900 miles from the implosion site.
The 20-second audio clip, which seems like static followed by a loud thunderous roar, was released on defense websites on Friday. The recording falls quiet after a couple of seconds of reverb.

The tragedy struck on June 18, 2023, when the Titan submersible was headed to study the wreckage of the Titanic. Before two hours passed into its descent, the ship had an awful implosion.
