On Friday, a big order was issued before the start of the monsoon session of Parliament. Secretary General of Rajya Sabha PC Modi has ordered that any kind of dharna in Parliament be banned.

In his order, General Secretary PC Modi said that the Members of Parliament could not use the premises of Parliament for any dharna or strike. PC Modi’s order said, “Members may not use the premises of Parliament House for the purpose of holding any demonstration, dharna, strike, fast or any religious function.” Meanwhile, he appealed to the members for cooperation.

However, on the other hand, Congress has opposed this decision of the General Secretary. Media cell in-charge Jairam Ramesh tweeted the letter of the order and wrote, “Vishguru’s latest salvo — D(h)arna Mana Hai! (Dharna is forbidden)”

According to the sources, the opposition can look aggressive in the monsoon session. There can be a tussle between the opposition and the government regarding many issues like inflation, unemployment, and the Agnipath scheme.
