Manish Malhotra had launched his latest store at Jio World Garden in Mumbai, and it indeed was a day of grande event, as the biggest names in fashion, business, and film fraternity were in attendance to wish the celebrated designer well on his latest achievement. Observations revealed that Rekha, one of Manish’s favorite muses, spotted exchanging warm words with Nita Ambani, Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation.

Rekha and Nita Ambani meet again

The meeting between Rekha and Nita Ambani was well characterized by their warm greetings when they hugged and held hands with each other while talking. Rekha arrives dressed in a golden sari partnered with matched jewelry and potli bag with neat, high bun pony. Nita, on the other side arrives wearing a parrot green sari and silver embroidery blouse, with matching earrings and also having a bun tied in the head for hair. During their talk, Nita told the paparazzi that they studied in the same school too.

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty arrived and joined the duo. She reached Rekha and sought her blessings by touching her feet. Rekha blessed her and hugged her while continuing her conversation with Nita. Shilpa looked fabulous in white with a pearl embroidery atelier. Her purse was also matching in color. Manish was himself dressed in black sherwani.

Last month, Rekha certainly cast a nostalgic spell on the audience at IIFA Awards in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. There, the 69-year-old superstar performed for two decades on classic songs like Mohe Panghat Pe from Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Lag Jaa Gale from Woh Kaun Thi (1964), Piya Tose Naina Lage Re from Guide (1965), and Pardesiya Yeh Sach Hai Piya from Mr Natwarlal (1979).

Gemini Ganesan and Pushpavalli, Tamil actors were the parents of Rekha. She made her debut as a child artist with the Telugu film Inti Guttu, 1958. She played her first main role in the Kannada film Operation Jackpot Nalli CID 999, 1969. The next year was her entry into Bollywood with the film Sawan Bhadon, followed by the golden films like Namak Haraam, Silsila, Khubsoorat, Umrao Jaan, Khoon Bhari Maang, Koi Mil Gaya, and Krrish.
