Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor recently featured on the ‘People by WTF’ podcast, hosted by Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha. During their chat, Kapoor reminisced about his notable meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asked Kamath if he had the ability to call Modi directly. Kamath clarified that despite having been around the Prime Minister at various events, he does not have direct contact with him.

Kamath explained, “Can I pick up the phone and call him? No… I’ve been fortunate to be around him at several events, but I don’t have that kind of access. I truly respect and admire him.”

He also highlighted Modi’s intense work ethic, saying, “Modi’s schedule is grueling. He might start with a speech to businessmen at 8 am, give another speech at 11 am, and attend different events throughout the day. By evening, I’d be exhausted, but he’d be flying off to Egypt to continue his duties. His energy is remarkable. There’s so much to learn from him.”

Kamath added, “Even at his age, his energy is inspiring. I believe there’s always something to learn from everyone, and he’s no exception. I feel lucky to have witnessed his dedication up close.”

Kapoor shared his own experience meeting PM Modi in 2019. He recalled, “When we met him, his presence was magnetic. He spoke to each of us personally, making an effort to connect on a deeper level. For instance, he asked me about my father’s health during his treatment, and he engaged with others on topics that mattered to them. That level of personal attention is something you see in truly great individuals.”

The 2019 meeting took place in New Delhi and included a range of celebrities such as Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Sidharth Malhotra, along with notable filmmakers like Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Varun Dhawan, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Rohit Shetty.
