Two suspects of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB) have been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The investigating agency has taken both of them into custody from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and their interrogation is going on.
Both the terrorists named Mohammad Saadat Hussain and Hamidulla alias Raju Ghazi have been apprehended from the Itkhedi area. They are residents of Bangladesh in origin and have found evidence of their involvement in the promotion of Jihad by posting objectionable content and hate material online in different groups on different social media platforms. They used encrypted apps to contact their allies in India and Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, NIA has succeeded in nabbing suspected terrorists in or around Bhopal. It is worth mentioning that earlier two youths were arrested from Raisen in Madhya Pradesh. However, he was released after questioning.
Moreover, Saadat Hussain and Hamidullah are close associates of Jamaat-e-Mujahideen terrorists arrested earlier from the Aishbagh area of Bhopal. The Bhopal unit of Madhya Pradesh STF registered a case on March 14, 2022, and caught the suspects from the Aishbagh area.
Earlier on April 5, the NIA took the matter into its own hands and lodged an FIR again. Seven accused, including three Bangladeshis, were arrested in this. The investigation so far has revealed that these terrorists have been found propagating the ideology of JMB as well as inspiring the youth for jihad against India.
However, the team of NIA New Delhi had taken two Islamic State (IS) suspects into custody last week. Raids were conducted in Silwani and Raisen and the investigating agency had claimed that some incriminating material was also recovered from the terrorists. A 24-year-old Zubair Mansoori was detained by the NIA from the Shahjahanabad area.
