Night 2 of WWE SummerSlam 2025 has kicked off with unrelenting energy, featuring six high-stakes championship matches and rivalries that have defined the summer. With the Undisputed WWE Championship, Women’s World Title, and multiple intercontinental belts on the line, fans inside MetLife Stadium and across the world are witnessing a wrestling spectacle.
The night began explosively with Naomi defending her Women’s World Championship against two former champions, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. All three competitors brought their signature intensity, but it was Ripley who dominated early with raw power. Iyo’s high-flying agility countered Ripley’s brute force, while Naomi, ever the opportunist, tried to capitalize on every clash.
The finish came after Ripley took Iyo out with a Riptide through the barricade. Naomi caught Ripley off guard inside the ring with a rearview and pinned her clean to retain the title. An intense opener that set the tone.
A match brimming with violence and emotion, Lyra Valkyria brought the urgency to what might be her final shot at Lynch’s title. Kendo sticks, crowbars, chains, and even interference from Bayley turned the match chaotic.
Bayley’s betrayal, first refusing to help Lynch, then accidentally striking Valkyria—set up Lynch’s Manhandle Slam for the win. The feud ends in carnage, but Valkyria’s star has undoubtedly risen.
In a match heavy with Bloodline family tension, Solo Sikoa defended his U.S. title against Jacob Fatu inside a steel cage. The brutal fight included headbutts, cage slams, and top-rope chaos. At one point, Fatu launched himself from the top of the cage with a splash that nearly won it.
Sikoa survived by low-blowing Fatu and smashing his head into an exposed turnbuckle before climbing out for the win. He remains champion, but just barely.
Dominik’s reign has been controversial, but against the legendary AJ Styles, he showed remarkable resilience. Styles dominated technically, but Rhea Ripley and JD McDonagh interfered, distracting the referee.
Dom used the moment to hit a frog splash and retain the title. Post-match, Styles stared down Dom, silently suggesting this isn’t over.
The TLC Tag Team Championship match was complete bedlam. Six elite teams—#DIY, Andrade & Rey Fenix, The Street Profits, and others—collided in a chaotic war.
Weapons flew, interference ran rampant (including Candice LeRae, B-Fab, and Nikki Cross), and momentum shifted constantly. Uncle Howdy made a game-changing entrance, sending Ciampa and Gargano crashing through tables. Joe Gacy recovered to climb the ladder and retain the titles for The Wyatt Sicks.
A dream match turned personal and violent, the main event saw John Cena defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes in a brutal Street Fight.
Cena, defying age and expectations, took the fight outside the ring early, bashing Cody with steel steps and dragging him through the crowd. Cody responded with a steel chair assault and a Cross Rhodes onto the announce table.
As both men bled and staggered, Cody reversed an Attitude Adjustment onto a pile of chairs and climbed the turnbuckle. Just then, Logan Paul interfered, attacking Cody and helping Cena hit an AA through a table.
Cena pinned Rhodes to retain the championship—but the crowd erupted in boos. Paul raised Cena’s hand, only for Cena to look confused and pull away, suggesting he didn’t ask for help. A feud between Cena and Paul may be brewing.
