Country artist Jelly Roll is preparing for his first performance at the WWE SummerSlam 2025. The artist will be involved in a tag team bout with Randy Orton against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. Speaking with ESPN, Jelly Roll discussed preparing for SummerSlam. He also commended professional wrestlers for WWE devotion.
During an interview with ESPN, Jelly Roll disclosed that he injured himself during his first week of training. The four-time Grammy nominee informed the publication that he broke his pinky in his first week of training. Jelly Roll also explained how the training was like a “constant collision,” as mentioned in The Billboard.

Orton, who was also part of the interview, complimented Jelly Roll’s makeover for SummerSlam 2025. The Save Me singer shed 200 pounds as he adjusted to training and a new way of living.

The country musician said that training for WWE SummerSlam has taught him a lot about himself. “I gave it everything I had for a couple of months, I dedicated my life to it, and I still can’t crack half of the code, a quarter of the code, that actually is this thing,” Jelly Roll explained.
Jelly Roll Defends WWE’s Physicality
He also slammed comments about how WWE matches are staged. Talking about the rumors surrounding staged matchups, Jelly Roll said that there was “no fake way” to go over a cable rope or land on a piece of plywood in front of thousands of spectators.
WWE fans have a lot to look forward to on August 2 and 3 with SummerSlam. In addition to Jelly Roll’s battle, the event will have John Cena, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley, and Cody Rhodes.
