Smriti Mandhana, the star of India's cricket team and a World Cup winner, is all set to tie the knot with music composer Palash Muchhal. The couple recently held their mehndi ceremony, and it was attended by close family, friends, and members of the Indian cricket team. The soon-to-wed couple posed for pictures and proudly displayed their mehndi designs during the celebrations.
Smriti wore an ombre saree in shades of purple and lavender for the event. The pre-draped saree had a gathered design at the waist, was floor-length with a pleated pallu, and delicate gold embroidery along the borders. Her purple blouse had a short sleeve, cropped hem, and was embroidered in gold, which fitted her perfectly.
She completed her outfit with an embroidered drape featuring heavy gold appliqué work. Accessories included a mang tika, her engagement ring, and a choker necklace. She went for a messy ponytail and paired it with minimal makeup, looking chic and elegant.
Complementing Smriti, Palash looked dapper in his ivory silk full-sleeve kurta with a relaxed fit. A matching straight-fit pants and a cream-colored Nehru jacket with gold embroidery and Mandarin collar were teamed with the kurta. Embroidered juttis and sunglasses completed his festive mehndi look.
The photos of the couple instantly went viral, and fans commented with heartwarming messages. One user wrote: “One is a great cricketer, and the second one is a great human. Congratulations both."
