If elected on September 28, the 45-year-old will be the first uncapped cricketer and the first from Jammu & Kashmir to head the powerful cricket board.

In Delhi’s dressing room, though, Mithun Manhas became a leader. He captained the side for many years and was known for his calm approach. During his captaincy, a young Virat Kohli played under him. His finest season came in 2007–08 when he scored 921 runs at an average of 57.56, helping Delhi win the Ranji Trophy.
