One viral image shows him lying on his bed, holding a teacup as if it were the championship cup. His caption read, “Akkha duniya ek taraf, aur mera India ek taraf. Jai Hind.”

In the field, Chakaravarthy supported his wit with action, taking two vital wickets sending openers Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) packing assisting India in limiting Pakistan to 146.
