WCPL Format and Significance

WCPL 2025 will be played in a double round-robin format with all franchises competing in four matches prior to the top two teams qualifying for the final. This edition is special not just due to its relocation to Guyana but also for its exposure of young talent in the Caribbean and overseas.

Defending champions Barbados Royals will try to do it all over again, while Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors hope to turn the tables with new-façade teams.

WCPL: Indian Representation

Indian fans have that added excitement in WCPL 2025 as three Indian cricketers are a part of WCPL 2025:

  • Shreyanka Patil (Barbados Royals): Spinner who was the highest wicket-taker in WCPL 2023.
  • Salonee Dangore (Trinbago Knight Riders): Young leg-spinner making her presence felt globally.
  • Shikha Pandey (Trinbago Knight Riders): The veteran all-rounder brings balance to the team.

Their on-field performances will be observed closely, with the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup around the corner.
