Former Indian captain MS Dhoni may have retired from international cricket, but his charm continues to steal the spotlight, while he only plays in the IPL now, his legendary presence never fades.
Recently, a viral video showed him giving hilarious marriage advice to a newlywed couple at a wedding the clip lit up social media, with fans calling him a “marriage counselor” and joking that stand-up comedians now have competition. With a few witty one-liners, Dhoni had the entire crowd laughing, proving once again why he's adored both on and off the field.
During the wedding ceremony, Dhoni stood on stage with the bride and groom smiling, he delivered his first punchline: “Kuch log aag se khelna pasand karte hain, yeh unmein se hai.” The crowd immediately erupted in laughter, but Dhoni didn’t stop there he added, “It doesn’t matter if you’ve won the World Cup or not, after marriage, all husbands are in the same condition,” he turned to the groom and joked, “If you think your wife is different, then you’re thinking wrong.”
The groom, Utkarsh, chuckled and replied, “My woman is different!”—which only added to the amusement and applause.
Dhoni then looked at the bride and said that when her husband gets upset, she should stay quiet. He explained that men usually calm down on their own and eventually reflect on their strengths. Dhoni wrapped up his fun yet heartfelt speech by congratulating the couple.
As he left the stage, the crowd chanted “Dhoni! Dhoni!”—a scene straight out of an IPL match.

Dhoni was last seen during IPL 2025, leading Chennai Super Kings once again after Ruturaj Gaikwad missed the season due to major injury though he’s retired from the international scene, his influence remains unmatched—whether on a pitch or at a wedding stage.
