Jon Jones on The UFC White House Card
Ever since the news of the UFC White House Card was confirmed, UFC Hall of Famer Jon Jones has been constantly asking to headline the future card. However, the UFC president was quick to turn down the possibility, stating Jones’ unrealisable nature as a main reason.
Following this, the former title holder continued to express his desire to headline the historic card, stating it as the only way he’ll return to the cage. Jones was earlier in conversation to face the then-interim heavyweight title holder Tom Aspinall; however, after a year of waiting, the fight was cancelled due to Jones’ surprise retirement.

He’s playing this as though that retirement never happened as opposed to this is a comeback.”
Sonen also questioned the intent behind his return, pointing at Tom Aspinall as the person Jones is actively trying to avoid. “If you’re coming back, what are you coming back for? What is it that you’re coming back to? And is it just an open slate to admit anything? Anyone except that guy, that guy over there in England… anybody but him,” he said.
