VARIOUS OF BLOCKX CELEBRATING AND SHAKING HANDS WITH BUDKOV KJAER STORY: Learner Tien will return to the title match at the Next Gen ATP Finals after he put away American compatriot Nishesh Basavareddy 4-2 4-1 4-3(3) in their semi-final on Saturday (December 20).     A year after losing in the final to Brazil’s Joao Fonseca, Tien will have a second shot at the title when he takes on two-seed Alexander Blockx in Sunday’s (December 21) final in Jeddah.      Blockx beat his good friend, Nicolai Budkov Kjaer of Norway, 4-3(4) 4-3(8) 4-2 in the earlier semi on Saturday to become for the first Belgian to reach Next Gen championship.      Top-seeded Tien is only the second man to reach the final more than once in the 20-and-under tournament’s history after Australia’s Alex de Minaur played back-to-back Next Gen finals in 2018 and 2019.  (Production: Kurt Michael Hall)
