The much-awaited marriage of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been postponed indefinitely in view of a sudden family emergency. Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, had suffered a heart attack during preparations for the wedding, casting a shadow on the festivities.

According to Srinivas Mandhana’s manager Tuhin Mishra, he fell ill during breakfast at the family’s farmhouse in Sangli, Maharashtra. An ambulance was called to rush him to a private hospital when his condition started deteriorating and he is under observation since then. His condition reportedly is stable for now.
