Indian batting icon Smriti Mandhana’s marriage to Bollywood music composer Palash Muchhal in Sangli over the weekend was put off at the last minute due to a sudden medical emergency related to her father. The celebrations, already in their final stages, ground to a halt when her father showed symptoms of a cardiac episode.
Celebrations were supposed to move into the main ceremony on Sunday, but Mandhana insisted that the wedding would not go ahead without her father present and stable.
Why was Palash Muchhal taken to Hospital?
Amid the tension because of Smriti’s father’s condition, Palash Muchhal himself suffered a sudden health relapse. During the same period, Palash started feeling uneasiness on account of a viral infection and acidity, which required clinical attention.
Palash was taken to a private hospital where doctors administered medication and kept Palash under supervision for a few hours to make sure there were no complications.
Fortunately, the health episode was not serious, and Palash responded well to treatment.
Is Palash Mucchal Back Home now?
Yes. After receiving medical care, Palash was discharged the same day and returned to the hotel where the family was staying. His condition has stabilised, and he is believed to be resting as doctors advised light recovery measures.
Though he was unwell temporarily, his health is no longer a cause for concern, and he has resumed staying with family members as they deal with Smriti’s father’s treatment.
Why was Smriti Mandhana’s father Admitted to the Hospital?
During the celebrations, Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, felt sharp pains in the left side of his chest, after which the family quickly dialed the ambulance service.
Subsequent tests by doctors revealed that the levels of his cardiac enzymes were elevated, a warning sign of a heart strain. His blood pressure was also measured as high.
The medical team attending to him has kept him under continuous observation, monitoring various parameters such as ECG readings and blood pressure stability.
According to doctors, if his condition does not improve or shows signs of escalation, then an angiography may be necessary.
He has, to date, remained admitted for observation, with the prospects of discharge therefore resting entirely on his recovery over the succeeding 24–48 hours.
Is Smriti Mandhana’s Father Back Home Yet?
No, not yet. Smriti’s father continues to remain under medical observation. Doctors treating him have noted improvement but they are keeping him admitted until his cardiac markers, blood pressure patterns and enzyme levels stabilise.
His discharge will depend on consistent recovery signs throughout the day and whether the medical team feels comfortable sending him home without risk.
What Happens to Smriti Mandhana and Palash Mucchal Wedding Now?
With Mandhana’s father being admitted and the family wholly concentrating on his treatment, all the remaining wedding rituals stand postponed indefinitely.
The new date will only be considered after doctors clear her father to return home and resume regular activity.
For now, health and recovery remain the top priority for the two families, Mandhana and Muchhal, and the celebrations are firmly on hold.
