Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana has taken down all her wedding-related posts from Instagram, sparking concern among fans as her father, Shriniwas Mandhana, was admitted to the hospital. The move comes at a sensitive time for the family, just a day before her planned wedding ceremonies. Her fiancé, Palash Mucchal, was also briefly hospitalised but has now been discharged.

The sudden change in Mandhana’s social media timeline has raised questions among followers who had been closely tracking her wedding updates. From engagement clips to the much-loved proposal video, every wedding-related post has now disappeared from her account.

Smriti Mandhana Deleted All Wedding Posts Across Multiple Accounts

Mandhana’s decision to delete the content wasn’t the only noticeable change. Her teammates Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil, who had earlier shared the engagement announcement, also removed their posts. Fans quickly noticed the clean-up, leading to widespread discussion online.

Even though the wedding posts are gone, her older casual photos with Palash remain visible, adding to the curiosity about her next steps.

Father’s Health Scare Leads to Postponement

The Mandhana family confirmed that Shriniwas Mandhana’s condition is currently stable, but he remains under observation. According to Mandhana’s manager, Tuhin Mishra, the family decided not to take any risk with his health. The wedding ceremony planned for November 23 in Sangli, Maharashtra, now stands postponed indefinitely.

Mishra explained the situation in detail.

"Today in the morning, when he was having breakfast, Smriti Mandana's father, Mr. Srinivas Mandhana, got unwell. We waited for a while. We thought that maybe it's normal, he will be fine. But he was getting worse. So we thought, let's not take any risk, so we called an ambulance and took him to the hospital. Now he is under observation," he said.

He further added, "You know Smriti is very close to her father. She decided that until her father gets well, this marriage, which was supposed to happen today, is indefinitely postponed. Now he is under observation, and the doctor has said that he will have to stay in the hospital. And until he gets well, because we are also in shock, and we want him to recover soon."

Celebrations Put on Hold

The wedding was expected to be a small, private celebration with family and close friends. Members of the Women’s World Cup–winning Indian cricket team were already in Sangli for the festivities.

However, the couple and their families have now asked for privacy as they focus completely on the recovery of Smriti’s father.
