VARIOUS OF PLAYERS WARMING UP STORY: Senegal kick-off their Africa Cup of Nations campaign against Botswana in Tangier on Tuesday (December 23) with the weight of expection on their shoulders.  The 2021 champions are among the favourites to win the tournament and went 33 matches unbeaten before losing 2-0 to Brazil in a November friendly. That run also saw Pape Thiaw's side become the first African team to defeat England, handing Thomas Tuchel his first loss as Three Lions' head coach with a 3-1 friendly win in Nottingham in June.  Armed with the experience of former African player of the year Sadio Mane and captain Kalidou Koulibaly, Senegal also boast a squad packed with emerging talent including Paris Saint-Germain's 17-year-old winger Ibrahim Mbaye, Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara and West Ham defender El Hadji Malick Diouf. Botswana, meanwhile, are making just their second appearance at the tournament and first since 2012 when they lost all their matches.  In the other Group D match, DR Congo, who beat Nigeria last month to reach March's World Cup intercontinental playoffs, take on Benin.  (Production: Conal Quinn)
