The cricket-entertainment crossover is heating up again—this time with influencer and radio jockey RJ Mahvash making headlines after purchasing a team in the newly launched Cricket League T10 (CLT10). The tournament, which will be played with tennis balls over three days, recently held its auction in Delhi, attracting major attention from fans and celebrities alike.
Bollywood star Sunny Leone and TV personality Prince Narula were among the high-profile investors present at the event. But what truly sparked buzz was Mahvash's entry into the cricketing arena, especially given her recent public link-up with Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.
Mahvash, who now owns the Supreme Strikers team, confirmed Australian opener Shaun Marsh as her captain. She looked radiant at the event, donning a cream-coloured matching top and skirt, and later shared glimpses of the auction on Instagram with the caption: "Team RJ Mahvash locked with Captain Shaun Marsh."
The connection between RJ Mahvash and Yuzvendra Chahal has been under constant social media scrutiny since their joint appearance at a Christmas dinner. During a recent appearance on Raj Shamani's podcast, Chahal addressed the rumours and the toll they’ve taken.

"No, there's nothing. People can think whatever they want to think," said Chahal, directly denying any romantic involvement with Mahvash.
He went on to highlight the harsh comments and online abuse Mahvash received due to the speculation.
"For the first time, when I was seen with someone, people started linking us right away. Even though she clarified it, it was very hard for her. She was called a homewrecker... people said nasty things. I felt terrible... We could not step out together," Chahal shared.
The rumours gained traction after a cropped photo from a group Christmas dinner made it appear that Mahvash and Chahal were out on a private date. Clarifying the context, Chahal added: "We had a Christmas dinner with five people, but the photo was cropped to make it look like just the two of us were on a dinner date. It got to a point where we couldn't even go out with friends without worrying about what people would say."
Chahal is still active on the field even if he hasn't played for India since August 2023. He recently played for Northamptonshire in the English County Championship. He also had a respectable IPL 2025 season with the Punjab Kings, claiming 16 wickets at an average of 26.87 in 14 games.
Because of her economic decision and her current relationship with one of India's most famous spinners, Mahvash's connection to cricket deepens as she takes ownership of a sports franchise. Despite their persistent denials of any sexual interactions, their names are still connected to cricket and celebrities.
