India vs South Africa 3rd ODI: Prolific wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock produced a sparkling century in the 3rd ODI against India at Visakhapatnam, notching up his 23rd ODI hundred in commanding style. On a surface offering early movement, de Kock stood tall and anchored the innings with exceptional control and flair, counterattacking whenever India tried to pull things back.
His superb knock came to an end on 106 off 89 balls, when he was bowled by Prasidh Krishna in the 32.5th over, after striking 8 fours and 6 sixes at a fiery strike rate of 119.10.
After getting settled, de Kock shifted gears effectively after the 20th over. His boundary-hitting was crisp, and the sixes were cleanly struck, particularly against the spinners. He reached his hundred off 82 balls, a knock decorated with eight fours and six towering sixes.
South Africa lost Ryan Rickelton for a duck in just the first over, but de Kock remained composed. Partnering with captain Temba Bavuma, he built a crucial 113-run stand for the second wicket. Bavuma's steady 48 off 67 supported de Kock's fluid strokeplay before Jadeja broke the partnership.
Besides reaching his 23rd century, de Kock achieved a huge personal milestone of his seventh ODI ton against India.
With this, de Kock Equalled Sanath Jayasuriya for the most ODI hundreds against India (7).
Surpassed AB de Villiers, Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara, who had six ODI centuries against India each.

With 23 ODI centuries, de Kock is now jointly tied with Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara, making them the most prolific century-makers among wicketkeepers in men’s ODIs.
