
Lanka Premier League 2025 returns this December with 24 days of thrilling T20 action, top franchises, and star players ahead of the World Cup.
The Lanka Premier League (LPL) is ready to comeback with its sixth season between December 1 and 23, 2025, guaranteeing 24 days of high-octane T20 action the longest season in the history of the tournament. The longer calendar will make competition fiercer among the five franchises while also providing players with vital match practice before a significant cricketing year, as the tournament is a crucial warm-up for the 2026 Cricket World Cup.
The 2025 LPL season will have 24 matches, 20 of which will be league matches and four will be knockout matches. The matches will be played over three of the premier stadiums: R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo; Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy; and Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, Dambulla. Cricket fans can anticipate fast and furious cricket with local and global stars competing to win.
Indian players will make their debut in the tournament for the first time, bringing a new level of excitement. Their names will be announced soon, but their participation is going to push competition higher and create additional hype among cricket fans in South Asia.
