Virat Kohli, after an 81-day break, is preparing rigorously at Lord’s for India’s upcoming Australia tour. Amid retirement chatter, his focus, intensity, and strong ODI record underline he’s far from done with international cricket.

Virat Kohli announced his retirement form the Tests before the Anderson-Tedulkar Trophy in England. He has stepped away from T20Is and was absent in both formats. It's been 81 days since he played his last game.

Virat's next challange will be India's white-ball tour of Australia in October, where three ODIs and five T20s are scheduled. Meanwhile, Matches in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney are schduled on Ocotber 19, 23, and 25 will be important as Kohli plans to reaffirm his place for the 2027 World Cup.

Kohli has been preparing intensly for his comback. He shared a glimpse of a practice session with Gujarat Titans' assistant coach, dismissing rumors of Australia series being his last match. RevSportz reported that Kohli spent two hours at the indoor nets in Lord's with Naseem Amin.

Kohli has been training feircly, focusing on every detail of his batting with 100 percent commitment. 

Kohli has an impressive ODI record in Australia with 1327 runs in 29 matches a 51.04with five centuries.
