Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi and left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh made big gains in the most recent ICC T20I rankings announced on Wednesday. Bishnoi reached sixth position, and Arshdeep entered the top 10 at tenth position, reflecting their recent consistency in the shortest format of the game.

Even though there was the improvement, Bishnoi is still missing from India's Asia Cup 2025 team, with many raising eyebrows as the leg-spinner continues to perform on the international stage.

Varun Chakravarthy Paces Indian Pacers in ICC T20I Rankings

While Bishnoi and Arshdeep closed the gap, Varun Chakravarthy remains India's top-ranked bowler in T20Is at No. 4. Axar Patel also rose to 13th position, solidifying India's strong presence among the leading ranked bowlers.

Among batters, Abhishek Sharma continued to lead the charts with 829 rating points, followed by Tilak Varma at No. 2. Captain Suryakumar Yadav is at No. 6, still within the world's best.

Disappointments for Jaiswal and Others

Notably, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is not included in India's 15-man Asia Cup team but is included among the reserves, dropped one position to 11th on the T20I batting rankings. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson each moved up by one position to reach 26th and 34th, respectively.

Hardik Pandya also continued to hold the No. 1 all-rounders' ranking with 252 points, reflecting his contribution to the format.

Tri-Series and Asia Cup Updates Context in ICC T20I Rankings

The ICC released the rankings after the UAE-Afghanistan-Pakistan tri-series, which recently ended with Pakistan winning against Afghanistan by 75 runs in the final. The performances in that tournament added to the most recent positional changes in batting and bowling charts.

For India, attention is on the 2025 Asia Cup, where a number of these ranked stars, such as Bishnoi, find themselves on the bench despite their position in the ICC standings.

ICC ODI Rankings: Gill Remains at the Top

In the ODI rankings, nothing changed at the top-order batters. Shubman Gill remains the world No. 1, followed by skipper Rohit Sharma (No. 2), Virat Kohli (No. 4), and Shreyas Iyer (No. 8).

Meanwhile, in the bowlers' list, Kuldeep Yadav fell one place to fourth position, and Ravindra Jadeja slipped two places to tenth. Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj, the elder pacers, also dropped two places each to 14th and 15th positions respectively.
