The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Trophy Tour arrived in Indore, filling the city with excitement ahead of the prestigious tournament, according to an ICC release.

Iconic Landmarks on Display

The trophy was showcased at some of Indore’s most historic and picturesque sites, including Rajwada Palace, Gandhi Hall, Central Museum, Sirpur Lake, and Pitra Parvat, highlighting the city’s cultural heritage.

Bringing the Spirit of Cricket to Schools

One of the most engaging parts of the five-day tour was its visit to several schools across Indore. Institutions such as The Emerald Heights International School, Niranjana Girls School, Emerald Heights World School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Bhavans Prominent International School, and Sanmati Higher Secondary School welcomed the trophy with guards of honour. Students participated in cricket-themed games, quizzes, and won exclusive ICC merchandise, creating an atmosphere of celebration.

Inspiring Young Cricketers

Adding to the moment, India U-19 cricketer Aayushi Shukla joined the Trophy Tour at Bhavans Prominent International School. She shared her journey, interacted with students, and encouraged young cricketers—especially girls—to pursue their dreams in the sport.

A Grand Finale at Holkar Stadium

On its final day in Indore, the trophy reached the Holkar Stadium, one of the official venues of the World Cup. The event featured a media interaction with senior officials of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), including Honorary Secretary Sanjeev Rao, Vice President Ramnik Saluja, CAO Rohit Pandit, Honorary Joint Secretary Siddhayani Patni, and Honorary Treasurer Pawan Jain. Former cricketers Sandhya Agarwal and Chitra Bajpai also shared insights into Indore’s rich cricket culture.

Connecting Fans Ahead of the Tournament

Through its visits to iconic locations, schools, and media roadshows, the tour is giving thousands of fans a chance to engage with the iconic silverware before the tournament. The trophy will now continue its journey to Mumbai and later across other cities in India and Sri Lanka.

  • ACA Stadium (Guwahati): Cricket fans in the northeast will get a chance to witness top-level international women’s cricket, adding to the region’s growing enthusiasm for the sport.

  • Holkar Stadium (Indore): With its rich cricketing legacy, Holkar will showcase key fixtures and has already been a centerpiece of the Trophy Tour.

  • ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam): Famous for its scenic backdrop and passionate fan base, this venue will bring electric energy to the tournament.

  • R Premadasa Stadium (Colombo, Sri Lanka): As the only overseas host venue, Colombo adds an international dimension, strengthening regional ties through cricket.

The month-long championship will feature the world’s best women cricketers competing not only for the prestigious trophy but also to inspire a new generation of fans across South Asia.
