FLAMENGO COACH FILIPE LUIS ENTERS PRESS CONFERENCE 2. WHITE FLASH 3. (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) FLAMENGO COACH FILIPE LUIS ON WINNING COPA LIBERTADORES, SAYING:     "“It was very difficult to get here. It took a lot of effort from the team, both individually and collectively. Many sacrifices from the players. And we did it. We achieved our main objective. I'm still processing everything that happened today. It was a very tense week, but if you ask me if it was what I expected, if it was what I expected, in my life I've always thought about winning titles, I've always thought big, and now Flamengo provides me, and not only me and the players, with that opportunity.” 4.  WHITE FLASH 5.  (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) FLAMENGO COACH FILIPE LUIS ON OPPONENTS PALMEIRAS, SAYING:     “It means a lot, because my wife knows very well, it's many, many hours, and in the end, the coach is judged by the results. When we win, we're a phenomenon, but for him, it's worth nothing. But we both know that the team we've built, the identity we've created with a strong, solid team—both teams are very strong, very solid—and it's difficult because in the end, one of us had to leave here, a winner and the other a loser, but it's been very difficult to get here.” 6. WHITE FLASH 7. FLAMENGO PLAYERS ENTER PRESS CONFERENCE AND THROW ICE OVER LUIS AND CELEBRATE  8. WHITE FLASH 9. LUIS RETURNS TO THE PRESS CONFERENCE WEARING FLAMENGO JERSEY 10. WHITE FLASH 11. (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) FLAMENGO COACH FILIPE LUIS ON HIS TACTICS, SAYING: “There aren’t many things to worry about. The players are familiar (with this system) they’ve played all year. So, I didn’t know this would be the team I was going to use, but they (Palmeiras) play the same way, which creates difficulties. We have a style of play where it’s hard to control the ball, so I think the key was to attack less, but we were very careful, and if Palmeiras managed to score, it was going to be very difficult.” 12. WHITE FLASH 13. LUIS LEAVES PRESS CONFERENCE STORY:   Flamengo head coach Filipe Luis said winning the Copa Libertadores meant the squad achieved its "main objective" this season.       Flamengo beat Palmeiras 1-0 at the Estadio Monumental on Saturday (November 29), marking the seventh consecutive year that a Brazilian club has lifted South America’s most prized club trophy.     Speaking after the match, Luis praised his players for making sacrifices to reach the final and lift the trophy and said the club have built a team with a "strong identity".     "It means a lot, because my wife knows very well, it's many, many hours, and in the end, the coach is judged by the results," Luis told reporters at the post match press conference.     The press conference was interrupted by the jubilant Flamengo players who gave their coach an ice shower.     Palmeiras currently trail league leaders Flamengo by five points in the Brasileirao, with two rounds remaining.     For Flamengo, the win gave them a sense of redemption as Palmeiras had defeated them in the 2021 final.
