OLYMPIC FLAG STORY: Fans arriving to the mixed doubles curling match set to kick off the 2026 Olympic Games on Wednesday (February 4) said they were happy and excited to be there. “I can’t wait to experience them. Now there is the first game and we are going to enjoy it,” said Maria Gaspari, a local from the Alpine town, about the Games. In the first round robin session, Sweden will play South Korea, Great Britain will face Norway, Canada will meet the Czech Republic and Estonia will play against Switzerland. Local fans will have plenty to cheer for as the Italian pairing of Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner defend their gold. Italy’s first match is against South Korea on Thursday (February 5).
