The Asia Cup 2025 clash between India and Pakistan began with an embarrassing moment for Pakistan. At the Dubai International Stadium, instead of Pakistan’s national anthem, Tesher and Jason Derulo’s hit track ‘Jalebi Baby’ echoed for nearly six seconds.

The DJ quickly corrected the error and played the proper anthem, but the confusion left Pakistan players and fans visibly stunned. The incident sparked chatter across social media as the charged atmosphere got even more intense.

Toss Drama Before the Match

Adding to the tension, captains Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha refused to shake hands at the toss. Both also avoided eye contact, reflecting the frosty relations between the two sides.

Earlier, Pakistan skipper Agha won the toss and chose to bat first. He said, “We are going to bat first. We’ve been playing good cricket, very excited. Looks like a slow wicket. Just want to bat first and put runs on the board. Same side. Have been here for 20-odd days, and we are used to the conditions.”

India’s captain Suryakumar welcomed the call, saying, “We were looking to bowl first, happy with it. We played just one strip away, which was a nice wicket and better to bat on in the night. It’s humid, so I’m hoping for some dew. Same team.”

Gambhir’s Pep Talk Charges Team India

Before the toss, cameras caught India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir giving an intense pep talk to his players. The passionate huddle reflected the team’s determination as they geared up for the high-pressure match. The message was clear: focus on cricket despite the noise outside.

Crowd and Atmosphere in Dubai

Despite reports of tickets not being fully sold out, live visuals from Dubai showed Indian fans outnumbering their Pakistani counterparts. The stands were buzzing with energy, creating an electric atmosphere.

However, the backdrop of the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year, which killed 26 tourists, continued to weigh heavily on Indian supporters, many of whom questioned why the match was going ahead.
