Franchise Model Meets Archery

The league will divide players across six franchises. Matches will see recurve and compound archers shooting together—70m and 50m respectively—under lights. This unique setup mirrors the success of franchise leagues in other sports and could change the way archery is viewed in India.

Strong Backing for the League

AAI President Arjun Munda said, “We are delighted to have the presence of India’s best archers in the first season. Their presence will drive eyeballs and ensure high competition.”

Secretary General Virendra Sachdeva added, “Indian archers have long been making their mark on the world stage. It is because of their success that we can launch this league and make it a must-watch for fans.” The league has also received support from World Archery, World Archery Asia, and the Sports Ministry of India.
