The much-awaited wedding of star Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal was abruptly postponed because of a health crisis in the family.
As per the reports, the couple were supposed to get married today, but their marriage got postponed after a distressing family emergency.
Mandana Father Sudden Heart Attack
The crisis happened when wedding preparations were going on at the Mandhana Farm House in Samdol, Sangli. Smriti Mandhana’s father Srinivas Mandhana experienced a heart attack. The news was confirmed by Tuhin Mishra, Smriti’s business manager.
Mr. Mandhana was quickly rushed to a private hospital in Sangli for immediate and urgent treatment. Sources close to the family say that both Smriti and her immediate family dropped everything and hurried to the hospital upon hearing this terrible news.

Smriti Mandhana Postponed Wedding Plans
So far, the family has shared a small piece of good news that Mr. Mandhana’s condition is reported to be stable and he is under observation by doctors. However, the wedding management officially announced to the media that today’s ceremony has been called off.
Smriti’s manager explained the tough decision: “You know Smriti is very close to her father. She decided that until her father gets well, this marriage, which was supposed to happen today, is indefinitely postponed.”
He explained that Mr. Mandhana has to remain in the hospital for observation, and the family, being in shock, needs him to recover first before they can resume the celebration.
Focus on Recovery The proposed wedding between Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal has now been postponed indefinitely. Workers have already started removing the decorations at the Samdol wedding venue.
The families of the couple have asked that the privacy of the public and media be respected during this trying time. For now, the only thing on their minds is the full recovery and health of Srinivas Mandhana. We wish strength to the Mandhana family and a speedy recovery to Smriti’s father.
